Titip is a digital legacy platform. A person records what matters, who should receive which guidance, and the conditions under which that guidance may be released. The platform then checks that the person is still present, and — only with evidence — prepares a controlled, recipient-scoped release.
The outcome we want is not “everything is sent after 90 days of silence.” The outcome is: the right person can act on clear instructions, and nobody else can.
What Titip is
- A place to record guidance about assets, documents, dependants, and personal messages.
- A life-check that treats presence as something the owner confirms, not something the system infers from quiet.
- A controlled release path that is explainable, auditable, and limited to what was assigned.
- A product that can be shown honestly to a family member, a business partner, and a reviewer.
What Titip is not
- Not a password manager, seed-phrase vault, or secret store.
- Not a notary, lawyer, or estate executor. Guidance is informational. It is not legal advice and it does not transfer ownership.
- Not an automated death detector.
- Not a single inbox that every nominee can open.
- Not a blockchain product, a death-registry integration, or a broad financial aggregator in the first releases.
Success
A stakeholder can watch one demo and see the trust model:
Iman creates an account, adds his wife (recipient and trusted contact), his brother (trusted contact), and his business partner (recipient). He records insurance, property, business continuity, and a message for his daughter. A monthly life check escalates through reminders, SMS, a grace period, and trusted-contact verification. Simulation produces a release candidate. His wife would see insurance and property only. His partner would see business information only. His daughter would see the personal message only.
That demo is specified as the prototype acceptance story in plans/prototype.md.
